1mm² gauge wire is suitable for the vast majority of wiring on motorcycles with 12volt electrical systems. 2mm² tends only to be used for heavy current circuits such as feeds to and from the alternator and the ignition switch main control. 6 volt systems use a higher current so sometimes need a heavier wire ie 2mm²
16amp PVC insulated thin wall wire. This cable has 32 strands of 0.2mm premium copper conductor . The thinner than standard insulation making it perfect for motorcycle wiring. It allows groups of cable to be more flexible and take up less space.
When looms are thinner they are less likely to get trapped and damaged. This, 1mm² is the commonest wire size on motorcycles.
We supply cable by the metre so you only need buy what you need. When you have cables with a second, thinner colour, this is known as a tracer. For example if you require a black cable with a yellow tracer (Kawasaki ground) then you order black/yellow ie the tracer is the second colour.
